I’m totally ready for the historical chart chats. I was just remembering to do that last night (when I was reviewing the notebook that I’ve been creating for myself) – I re-read sections every day as the older stuff makes sense once you get the hand of it more.
Thanks for developing such a great trading system. It’s making enough sense that I’m starting to have some winning trades each day inspired by your entries and the Pad and Gold Pad. (My gold pad has traditionally been parts of the top IBD 20 –the ones I’ve become familiar with for several months. I’m still getting up to speed on the other Gold ones on your list.)
I have a couple of questions. What broker do you use and/or recommend? I definitely need to move. I was swing trading before and didn’t have that bill racking up so much. Also do you use your broker’s charting software charting or do you use something different like TC 2000? I need to put more charts up so I’m not flipping. I have 2 screens right now. Do you use 4? Any advice on the set up would be appreciated.
Thanks again. I’m glad I subscribed.

The whole concept of guns that you gave us has worked in a truly amazing way for me-has decreased the stress that the 15 min time frame creates for me knowing I can’t sell until the next morning [SEC rules for small account] at least-and given me a bigger picture!! I also use the hourly to determine if a trade is good to get into…I still watch the 15 min during indy or for entry, but use the guns to help me determine that entry too!
By the way, great job of trading today! If anyone needed proof that your system really works, days like today are living proof! I must say that I am impressed !! 4/18/2012

Hi Steve
Now that I am in Israel I have more free time in the am to go through the lessons. As I do that, I am finding that you are using many new terms in your trading method. They can be some what confusing and overwhelming to a new trainee. Such terms as T, SA, Walking the 4, Opera, Indy, Frog, etc are spread and defined all over throughout the lessons.
My suggestion is to add one additional lesson, strictly consists of a glossary of all the proprietary terms you have invented. This way, as we go through the lessons and run into a term we are not familiar with or forgot its detention, we can easily refer to the glossary for the explanation.
I have learned a lot from you so far. I already see a substantial improvement in my trading, especially in the area of exits and retaining profits.
Thanks and keep on the good work,
Yochanan

One thing that is sure, is that if I ever lost my job, I think I feel confident that I could make a decent living at day-trading. It does not take much to get $300 a day, without incurring much risk it would seem (providing that one is not distracted and catches the move at the right time)

FiveTrades.com says
The T – This is a day trading method I learned from a guy named “Tumbler” that I met on the Stockbee site. He’s the most consistent day trader I know, and has a really straight forward way of doing it. See his site for the best description (www.tumblertrades.com). I also use this as a method of entering swing trades in the right conditions. I like to take the trade to the next time frame when possible and get bang for the buck. I prefer to use this in volatile times and when other methods are not in play. If I had to pick one method to trade and I had the intraday availability, this is the one I would trade. Otherwise it would be the earnings pullbacks.
So that is the general description of the methods I use. The details are spawn from my experience, my schedule, and my style. The foundations I learned from the sites I mentioned. This site is a way to document my own journey through this market ocean, and to learn some things along the way.
Hey Steve: just a lil update on me.. still papertrading a lot.. but yesterday made 3 perfect setup trades (1) on CNX and (2) on SODA.. 100% success.
Total profit yesterday was over $800. I think not many other systems out there would be making $ on a day like yesterday.
In terms of paper trading, i take it VERY seriously – like it was real money.. no such thing as doubling down, tripling down.. or “all in” on a position.
Money is still very tight for me, but I am still a true believer in your system.
ALSO.. I really like how the chat room is used for good setup alerts and not random chatter… great!
and your teaching is still top notch.. Pls continue to point out the obvious in e z to understand wording (in some ways treat us like we are babies).. b/c some obvious stuff is not so obvious in terms of importance to us.
Tumbler trades is AWESOME! His method works and he has a wonderfully simple way of explaining what he does. If you want to learn to day trade successfully he is your man. I joined the Aces and he shared with me his methodology and rules (not to mention giving me a great list of money making stocks every day). He held nothing back and taught me everything he knows about daytrading. Tumbler trading works and he proves it day after day. There are no tricks here. One of the beauties is that he knows his craft is art so in teaching he guides you in finding your way whether it is 100% his method or a little of your own style mixed in. Like T says, we are the artists he just gave us the brushes. If you want to be a successful day trader you owe to yourself to learn what he has to offer. I am perfecting my craft every day and am so grateful to be one of his Aces and a member of his community.
Simple said, TT ROCKS!!
Thanks heaps for all you do!!
“stockjo re your earlier questions about Tumbler. I became a member of his site. I stayed on for three mos. I let my membership lapse because I was not trading in that style. In review, I am very happy that I took that membership. It is a fantastic value. Where else can you watch a winning daytrader ply his craft day after day and in real time at that price? AND have him give you a bunch of essays that explain to you what he is doing, so that you can learn how to do it too? Seriously. It is a rare opportunity to learn a unique day trading method that is pretty much like swing trading, and is based pretty much on price action, you can watch the guy in real time do the trades. The entries and the exits are all there in real time. Will it automatically make you a success? No not automatically. For every method you have to do the work. If you think it might be something you want to learn, i say go for it. You will absolutely come away with the instructions on how to hunt and trade like tumbler. p.s. i love his “bricks” concept. Very important lesson in my opinion.”
Richard: i’ve just sold out my double and triple on mcp, will run the single
Richard: T, your rules are good, stop my from getting too greedy
Richard: i’m done. 3x daily target again, though took 6 hours today versus 13 minutes on Friday. if anyone on this board is not subscribed as an ace, you are really missing out (T do i get a commission? )
Tumbler: thanks R…appreciate it…love it when Aces are hitting their targets…just love it
heatherjjones1: thanks for all you do T!
wac4: second that!
I spent 4 hours on a flight back from uk re-reading the chart posts. anyone wondering whether it is worth the cost…..just paid for nearly two years in one trade in 40 minutes, go subscribe now
I did filled in the blank and Roger that…been there done that..and you’re so right with “if you’re down do not be in hurry”..got to the same conclusion: most of our pad stocks do recover in the afternoon..in the beginning I was churning my account by doing the same thing over and over again..was up in the morning, didn’t take the profit when I should’ve, then I was over trading between morning and afternoon, right when most of them were reseting and by the time they start running again in the afternoon I was mentally tired and frustrated…now I take my profit in the morning, no matter how much..bricks right..then waiting for them to reset..and hit it again in the afternoon..target hit daily…I think I’m on the right track..no negative day since March 28th (28 days and counting…this addition added by tumbler)
Since meeting you my trading has improved markedly!
I even use to short today made quick 60 cents on V when “reverse bowl” shorted 71.20 covered 70.62 close of red frame just before quarter close on 1000 shares. Thanks a lot!
I just want to know if i have understood you method well.I have now made at least $3000-$4000 per day using your method thanks a lot.But I go long and short example goog on 1 min at open a quick 4-5 point short. On 15 min latter also a great short
I print every chart talk and review it multiple times…
Lately I have traded VXX using your method very good results.on long side .It looks good on short side also.i looked at last 10 days 15 min chart and seemed to be trade able by your method
Trading is going well. Today was a good day! Thanks for sharing your method. Finally, my trading is becoming more consistent. The chart talks are very helpful. I print them out and read them almost daily to keep them fresh in my mind
I was able to view the charts..loved those analysis..embedded in my brain!
Still a work in progress Steve. First looked at hundreds of charts for a few weeks to get a feel. I am basically a swing trader so the action is faster than I am used to. The 4/15 is a very simple, elegant tool. So is a baseball bat. But standing in there and swinging at 90 mph fastballs is a real art. I couldn’t do that, but maybe I can do this. The Pad kinda tells you what the guy is going to throw so that helps, but you still have to swing the bat.
Traded a bit past 2 weeks and a bit behind. Comparing my very few trades to yours: 1) I am in later and at a higher price, and 2) you have an innate ability to sell at a higher price. I am still ducking for cover on a pullback – ASML after 11am, ALK 10:20, BHI 10:20 today. You have an uncanny ability to know when to sit on those positions that “close red below the 4″ and waiting for a rebound to sell, and which to dump.
Just a side note, your method is really great. I’ve been doing this for 2 weeks and have consistently making profit out of it. My target is quite simple: if I reach $500 a day I stop (I have set this target before you send out the “ace” one of your trader who make 2-3000 $ a day). But reading the “ace” just give the confirmation that I am doing the right thing. I will continue to do so 3-4 months, then I will increase the target to $1000 if I can make $500 consistently. I am using yours and guru methods for swing trading (actually both methods are great).
Steve first off a big thank you. Today i did your method from the get go. (am not really set up as have two monitors one running IB and the other freestocks which has spotty prices) that’s a problem for another day. Been busy at work so have not really been able to dabble with your 15/4 for a while.
Keep up the good work and am always amazed at the constant humility you demonstrate given what you have accomplished
tumbler – target reached today.. last 4 days all target reached within the first 3 hours… thx man.. you are great with your method. in this uncertain market.. best is to trade tumbler way….
Quick endorsement of Tumbler’s technique: not only does it work on his pad, it also works very well on scans of stocks going up on high relative volume. Of course, days like today help a lot, but it’s a very sound approach…. but you already knew that!!!!
Tumbler is the most consistent by far and brings the most value because he is consistent.
Thank you so much for the chart talk. It’s a great motivational and educational tool. It’s been very helpful.
For my personality, the tumbler method of trading is perfect. Thanks for sharing it
all thanks to you that I have become a consistent profitable trader!
have not traded “the open” very long – am definitely a neophyte. A month or so ago there was a “trading the open” dialogue in the Tumbler group that prompted my serious consideration of trading the open. Previously when I went in early I would get slaughtered. I have some solid rules now and when followed diligently am having a measure of success – thanks to Tumbler, Raj and RJ.
Yes, I am a Tumbler subscriber, for three months now. Am just renewing for a further 3 month period – well worth the investment!
I highly recommend Steve’s (Tumbler) services.
You not only get rich method info, but more importantly you get an excellent coach/mentor with Steve!
No doubt I stumbled a lot, but when I really started to apply myself, especially with the open, it is now starting to come together. Today was another good trading day for me!
